What is DBT?

DBT is a form of cognitive behavioral therapy that centers around distress tolerance, emotion regulation, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness. Is DBT right for me? DBT is an empirically supported treatment for a variety of mental health concerns. Including but not limited to anxiety, depression, borderline personality disorder, eating disorders, self-harm, suicidal ideation, anger issues, communication problems, and more. On Purpose Psyche has multiple ongoing Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) groups for both adolescents and adults. Groups are currently held online due to COVID-19 but will soon be available both in person and online.

"Radical acceptance rests on letting go of the illusion of control and a willingness to notice and accept things as they are right now, without judging."
